COLLECT 2006 took place in February at the V&A, London. Presented by the Crafts Council, this international art fair for contemporary objects has become a major highlight in the visual arts calendar.
With ten years experience of working with the Crafts Council, Joanna Scott PR once again undertook a highly successful media campaign. In addition to copywriting press releases, Jo Scott interviewed Sir Terence Conran and wrote an article on his personal collection for the COLLECT catalogue.
For COLLECT 2006 we aimed to achieve a highly targeted and tactical campaign. Our media relations resulted in the following publications writing substantial articles on the art fair: House & Garden, Art Review, Apollo Magazine, BBC Homes & Antiques, Saturday Telegraph Magazine, Sunday Times Style, The Times, The Daily Telegraph. In addition we secured a 3 minute feature on Channel 4 News. With the local London press both Evening Standard and Time Out wrote articles.
COLLECT 2006 obtained media coverage worth 60 times the fee we received and attendance at the fair was 10% up on the previous year.
